Some time ago I stumbled upon this super duper amazing podcast called SongExploder.

Songexploder - Songs deconstructed by their makers

In every Episode, the founder Hrishikesh Hirway from Los Angeles interviews one Band how they had the idea for a certain song and how it evolved to the final product. It is truly mesmerizing to get this look behind the curtain and into the thought process of the band members in creating a certain song. You feel somehow really closer to the band and understand them way better and why they do what they do. And the most important thing for me as a musician is to realize, they do exactly the same thing as every other musician. They are also just humans. They hum melodies into their phones, write up bits’n’pieces, send around only ideas and parts of songs, and in the end they manage to produce a full song with all the parts :)
