Since 2011 Vienna has it’s own Music Film Festival - Poolinale. We already saw a few very good music documentaries there in the last few years and can’t wait for this years edition starting 14th of April.
Over the years also a talk section has been established where mostly topics relating to music and movies are discussed. The main topic this year is “Digitalization” and it’s impact on the Music and Film Industry. There will be a talk about YouTube and some representation from YouTube + discussion about copyrights in this context. So it should be super interesting.
Our favorite music documentary from this years program is
Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest
since we have been big A tribe called quest fans since the 90ties this one should be great. IMDB says 7.7 :)
Besides that, numerous other music documentaries will be shown covering a wide area of musical styles.
