For the 11th time the Donaufestival in Krems took place, or is right now still taking place.
With the strange policy to give out only 1 dayticket plus 1 half price day ticket we just could watch one day of the festival so we chose the day with Nils Frahm who we like a lot (obviously).
To be honest we didn’t really care about the rest of the line up for this day (30th of April) cause Nils was playing in the best location of the whole festival, the Minioritenkirche.

Even tough it’s a bit of a walk from the train station, the location is totally worth it.
Nils Frahm adapted his live show for the occasion and left out a few tracks which have more dance elements and put in more (electronic) choir and church organs. He even brought his newest electronic church organ with him to try it out here :) The atmosphere, his live performance and improvised parts combined with the sonic abilities given by these high halls made the whole experience outstanding.
Only the official film crew was allowed to take pics and film with the proper equipment so we filmed a bit with our iphones. I guess it’s enough to get a feeling how cool the show was.
And here is the sum up of the Donaufestival 30 April.
